Some things to keep in mind when you are watching our slide shows:
- Move your mouse pointer to the top of the screen
When watching a slide show, make sure that your mouse pointer is not positioned somewhere in the web page. If it is, you might get annoying flickering effects, plus unwanted popup icons if the mouse hovers over an image...
- Press F11 to set your browser window to full screen
Function key F11 will expand your browser window until it covers the whole screen. This will make it easier to see the lower part of the slides. Press F11 again to return the window to normal size.
- Stop, Resume, Skip or Speed Up slides
Pause
You can use the "Pause" button to stop the show temporarily anytime. All action will stop; the current slide will remain visible
as it is, until you press "Resume", or do something else like refresh the page.
Resume/Skip current slide
The "Resume/Skip current slide" button has two functions: it resumes a show that was stopped with "Pause", but it can also
be pressed to go to the next slide.
 Fast
Forward
If you click on "Fast Forward", the show will speed up considerably. That can be convenient if, for example, you need to locate
a particular slide. Beware however: if you do this while looking at a certain show for the first time, the browser may not
be able to load all the images in time, especially if you have a slow connection. If that happens, slow down again using the
"Resume" button.
- Use Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6
Not all browsers support all the features we have put in. The so called 'transition' effects will only be visible in their
full glory if you use Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later. We strongly recommend downloading and installing the latest
version, available at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
- Set your screen resolution to 1024x728
While the slide show area itself is small enough to be seen completely even if your screen resolution is set to 800x600, it is more convenient to set the resolution to 1024x728. Then the whole web page will fit on the screen, without having to scroll left, right, up or down...
(Window's users: minimize all windows and click anywhere on the desktop with the right mouse button. Choose 'Properties' from
the popup menu. Then open tab 'Settings', where you can change your screen resolution).
